Nepal Telecom is again the top tax payer for the fiscal year 2068/2069.

Nepal Telecom has once again topped the tax paying company for the last fiscal year 2068/2069. As the top ten tax payer to the Nepal Government is out, it is known that the government owned company (92% share) NT had paid 5.64 billion rupees income tax whereas Ncell- the private mobile operator (GSM) stands next to NT in the second place, giving 1.48 billion rupees as income tax.
This year, 7 banks are in the top ten list to have the honor, out of which Nepal Agriculture Developement Bank (Krishi Bikash Bank) stands front with 1.21 billion Nepali Rupees (NRs.), which is third position in the overall rank.
Here are the remaining taxpayers.
4. Nabil Bank: 800 million Rupees.
5. Nepal Investment Bank: 580 million Rupees.
6. Standard Chartered Bank: 570 million Rupees.
7. Himalayan Bank: 470 million rupees.
8. Surya Nepal Pvt. Ltd.: 420 million rupees.
9. Bank of Kathmandu: 410 million rupees.
10. Rastriye Banijye Bank: 380 million NRS.
