Mirrorless Cameras (MILC).

Over the years new kind of digital cameras are developed and getting popular apart from point and shoot Cameras and DSLR cameras that is most prevalent in the camera market, it's the Mirrorless Interchangeable lens camera (MILC) or Electronic Viewfinder with Interchangeable Lens (EVIL).
Mirrorless Cameras differs from point and shoot in that Mirrorless camera can interchange lenses. It also differs from DSLR with the absence of mirror based optical viewfinder but Mirror less Cameras has the same control of settings. so we can say that Mirrorless camera includes the best of both worlds Point and shoot and DSLR.As the name tells, Mirrorless Cameras are previledged with the absence of Mirror which greatly reduces the size and weight of the camera. Also the Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera (MILC) provides interchangeable lenses and DSLR like quality imaging with TTL viewfinder. Though there are handful of MILC cameras, their image quality is not that well comaparable to DSLR, also due to non-availability of much dynamic lenses for it. Mirrorless cameras (MILC) are now taken as go-everywhere cameras to carry it all the time and you will never miss a great photo opportunity. So the option to many who want a sophisticated camera but less bulky one, is the most significant one. Also it's a matter of time when the mirrorless cameras will be available with whole range of lenses and more advanced features.

Lets summarize what the Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera (MILC) is:
  •     It's like a digital SLR, only without the mirror(s).
  •     It's much smaller and lighter than a normal DSLR.
  •     It shares many features with a DSLR.
  •     Its controls and operation are more like a compact.
  •     Its larger sensor helps to improve image quality.
