Google I/O: Nexus 7( tab), Jelly bean (OS), Google Now (Virtual Assistant).

Google unveils Nexus Seven tablet at its annual I/O conference today. The 199$, 7 inch display tab seems more likely to challenge Amazon kindle fire with the same price and size than the Apple counterpart iPad. The device will be running the latest android, Jelly bean also launched today with many features. The device will be available in mid- July to its customers in U.S., U.K., Canada, and Australia. Here are some other features of the device:

  • 1.3Ghz Quad-core Tegra 3 processor
  • 8GB or 16GB of internal storage
  • 1 GB RAM.
  • 1,280-by-800 HD display
  • 1.2 MP front-facing camera ( No Rear Camera)
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC
  • 340 grams.
  • Google's Chrome as the standard browser.
  • Runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. 
  • No 3G connectivity
Google also announces the features of personal assistant to be available in the latest version of Android operating system Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. This personal assistant is named Google now which is an answer to the Apple's Virtual Assistant SIRI. Google Now gathers data from the web based on what sort of searches you make. So, it can give you the details of alternative road when you are struck in a traffic, it also updates you on restaurants/retail stores as you’re walking past them, provides reviews of those stores, and other recommendations.
