With ZTE being one of the biggest mobile consumer names at CommunicAsia 2012, the company took the opportunity to announce a new 4G-capable handset, the Grand X LTE T82. It's the company's first smartphone to have LTE on a single chip via the Qualcomm S4 Snapdragon processor.
It runs stock Android 4.0 with very minimal tweaks from ZTE. These tweaks include a fancy 3D live wallpaper as well as some customized home screen animations. This changes how your icons appear onscreen--they can now bounce in, or flip in.
Phone looks good despite its plasticky exterior, though the chrome edges feel a little cheap. It also lacks physical buttons and uses Android 4.0's native software buttons.
The chrome edges felt cheap, and while the handset does feel solid, the plastic feel did give us a decidedly "cheap" impression.

Positive
The handset packs pretty good hardware in the form of the dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor, an 8-megapixel camera that can record 1080p video and a large 1,900mAh battery. It runs stock Android 4.0 with very minimal tweaks from ZTE. Negative
The camera on the Grand X LTE seems to be abnormally slow, which could be due to the fact that the display units were prototypes. It's especially noticeable when you compare with phones running stock ICS (Samsung Galaxy Nexus). Perhaps it hasn't been optimized yet.The chrome edges felt cheap, and while the handset does feel solid, the plastic feel did give us a decidedly "cheap" impression.
Outlook
The handset will be launched in the third quarter in both Europe and Asia. From what we understand from speaking to an exec on the show floor, the company aims to launch the Grand X LTE in as many regions as possible at the same time. Pricing has not yet been revealed.Source: CNET.com
