Big Cinemas to shut down in Nepal.

Indian Cineplex Brand "Big Cinemas" is returning from Nepal as it did not see any good market here in Nepal according to them. Three cinemas inside Big Cinemas at City Centre, Kamalpokhari is going to shut down with their decision. People have been frequently complaining about the cinema hall regarding its quality and electricity cuts during the show. Big Cinema is a brand under Indian Giant Reliance Entertainment which has many cinemas all over India, and major city in Malaysia, USA. They had been operating Cinema halls with the same name from last 2 years at the top of City Centre, Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu. Big Cinemas business in Kathmandu was going down as compared to QFX (another multiplex hall in K-town), and it was also biased for not showing decent Nepali movies except one or two. I happened to watch one movie in the hall and felt not so impressive as compared to International cinema halls and our very own QFX.
It is learned that Nepali company Shanghai Group has taken the ownership of the cinema hall and will be re-launching the cinema as "Big movies".  Hope they won't be treating Nepali cinemas in the same way as their predecessors did.
