Two Multinational company - American BBB Champion Oil and Dubai's EABG Abhudabhi will start the petrol excavation in from December. They jointly organized a press meet to disseminate information about their work, after getting license from government to excavate in three prospective blocks in Biratnagar, Rajbiraj, Janakpur. Those companies were assigned the work after International bid in March, and Government did not award the contract to third bidder China’s Hitech Capital due to less experience. Four years agreement has been inked for the two companies for 30 million USD.
They will start the work after exploring those locations for any petroleum minerals hidden within the soil. They also told media of all the people involved in the works are to be from Nepal, sans technical manpower.
