Nokia to launch Lumia 920 and 820 with wireless charging: Rumors

Nokia and Microsoft is jointly having a event to launch Windows 8 powered Lumia smartphones in about 12 hours time. Rumor has it that the new Lumia lineup will be Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820, the direct successor to 900 and 800 respectively.

Nokia 920 specs: Rumor
The rumored Nokia Lumia 920 will replace the Nokia Lumia 900 as the high end device. Rumored specifications include 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, and 4.5 inch HD display. There is also speculation that this device will include a PureView camera, but unlike the fabulous 808 PureView indications are that this will have an 8 megapixel one and not 41 megapixel.

Nokia 820 Specs: Rumor
Another rumored device Nokia Lumia 820 looks to be Nokia's new mid-range WP8 device with a 4.3 inch display, 8GB storage and microSD card slot, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, and camera similar to the Lumia 920. It may also have changeable rear covers, similar to the current Lumia 710 device.More rumor about the device is the wireless charging capability via Qi charging technology. The new lumia wireless charging will be done via a built-in magnetic induction loop. It is rumored that the 920 will implement Qi wireless charging, a standard developed by the Wireless Power Consortium. With Qi tech, you will be able to charge the Lumia 920 by simply placing it on a wireless charging mat. In theory, you should be able to use a generic Qi charging mat, or you can buy a very colorful wireless charging mat from Nokia which will probably cost more.In just a week before the launch of Apple's iPhone, the joint Nokia Microsoft event is viewed as the event that determines the fate of Nokia and Microsoft partnership.
