2013 Oscar Prediction

2012 was a prediction year for me. I had many blog posts for predicting Golden Globe for 2012 & 2013, Oscar 2012, all the major games of Euro 2012, and not forgetting major smartphone releases in 2012, of which most of them went absolutely perfect. And now here is how I see the 85th Academy awards.

American President's struggle for the amendment in constitution to abolish Slavery, Lincoln leads Oscar 2013 with 12 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor. Life of Pi follows Lincoln with 11 nominations including Best picture and Best director, which it seems not to be winning. Les Miserables and Silver Linings Playbook earned eight each whereas the favorites Zero Dark Thirty and Django Unchained got five nominations each and that's without Best directing for Kathryn Bigelow and Quentin Tarantino. Other major snubs include no nominations for TDKR, no place for Leonardo Dicaprio in Supporting actor nominations for Django Unchained and Ben Affleck for Directing Argo.
Though I doubt if the Best picture either goes to either Lincoln or Argo, and Best actress goes to either Jessica Chastain (for Zero Dark Thirty) or Jennifer Lawrence (for Silver Linings Playbook), here are my prediction for this years Oscar.
