Opening Ceremony of London Olympics 2012 in hours

International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge is meeting with the world's press. He opened the session with: 'I can say with pleasure that London is ready and that we are eagerly waiting for the Opening Ceremony.' We're eagerly awaiting too!

This is just a glimpse of the readiness of London to host the 2012 Summer Olympics and
the opening ceremony  is just 10 hours away after seven years of preparations.
The three-hour spectacle in the Olympic Stadium will be viewed by a global TV audience of around a billion people. The opening ceremony will be aired live by Nepal television and Ntv Plus (in Nepal) from 01:30 onwards tonight.
The day of celebration began at early morning with a mass bell ringing. Big Ben rang for three minutes for the first time since King George VI's funeral.
Lord's cricket ground has turned away spectators trying to get in to watch archery amid confusion over ticketing.
The London 2012 website advertised the event's preliminary rounds as "unticketed", which some members of the public interpreted as open to the public.
But Olympic organizer Locog said it had not advertised or sold tickets for the ranking event and had always made it clear preliminary rounds were not open to spectators.
What's in the Opening Ceremony of London 2012:
First, the Olympic Opening Ceremony kicks off at 9:00 PM London ( 4:00 PM in New York, 01:45 Nepali time) with the ringing of the largest harmonically tuned bell in Europe, the Whitechapel Foundry, just as the Stadium gets transformed into the British countryside for the opening number entitled, "Green and Pleasant".

Then, next on the program will be the official receiving of the Head of State where the President of the IOC, Jacques Rogge will greet Her Majesty the Queen.

This will be followed by the traditional Parade of Athletes where each team will enter the stadium in alphabetical order, except Greece who always enters first, and Team GB, who marches last as they are the Host Nation's team.

When all the athletes have marched inside the stadium, the ceremony proceeds to the speech of LOCOG Chair Seb Coe, to be followed by Jacques Rogge, who will then invite Her Majesty the Queen to officially declare the Olympic Games open.

This will immediately be followed by the playing of the Olympic Anthem and the parade and raising of the Olympic Flag. The sportsmanship oath for the athletes follow thereafter.

After all this is done, the most anticipated part of the London 2012 Opening Ceremony follows, which is the lighting of the Olympic Cauldron inside the Stadium with the Olympic Flame.

The program ends with the creative team, as directed by Danny Boyle, composed of a total of 15,000 performers who will take center stage for several minutes of variety and synchronized performances.
Here is the official song of London Olympics: Survival by Muse and I hope they will be performing tonight at the opening ceremony.
