Samsung S3 and iPhone 4S.

Its a tough game to tell who will turn out a winner when comparing Samsung S3 and iPhone 4S. Apple launched the flagship mobile iPhone 4S in 4th October last year contrary to prediction of many excluding me. I was very much sure of 4s to be launched that time. Siri, a personal voice assistant was very much popular that came along with the device and new OS upgrade but also criticized for being non responsive. Samsung released their latest flagship Samsung S3 or S III also termed as the 'new galaxy', last week, having powerful specification making it bold to compete with apple latest iPhone. Lets compare the phones in specification wise.

Display Screen
iPhone 4S comes with 3.5 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display provides 640 x 960 pixel resolution at 326 ppi pixel density. This is the same size and styling from its predecessor models but users like it very much. Samsung Galaxy S III comes with 4.8 inches HD Super AMOLED display with 720p HD resolution. So this is quite bigger in size and just 1 inches bigger than Galaxy Nexus smartphone. We know that Super AMOLED is the best display screen size manufactured by Samsung itself. We feel that Super AMOLED display gives out better resolution but iPhone 4S is also known for its featured rich specifications.
Processor
Apple iPhone 4S is powered with dual core 1 Ghz Cortex A9 processor with Apple A5 chipset along with PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU for graphical support. Samsung Galaxy S III comes with 1.4 GHz quad core Exynos processor, officially become the first device with Exynos quad core processor and second only device launched with quad core after HTC One X.
The quad core of Galaxy S III is quite faster than the iPhone 4S but it wins in the comparison of the graphical acceleration.
Camera
iPhone 4S comes with 8 mega pixel camera with autofocus with LED flash and also includes front facing VGA camera.
Remaining features like touch focus, geo-tagging, face detection, HDR, 1080p videos @ 30fps, LED video light, video stabilization, geo-tagging are common in both the handsets.
Samsung Galaxy S III comes with 8 mega pixel camera on the rear side and includes 1.9 mega pixel camera on the front side which can be used for video chat and video calls. This comes with various additions like continuous burst shoot and lot more features.
Operating System
iPhone 4S comes with the iOS 5 operating system which the latest operating system version of iOS by Apple. On the other hand Samsung Galaxy S III will come out with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich which will be the first phone by Samsung coming out officially with ICS. So in the operating system comparison, it’s the fight between the iOS and Android.
We know that Android is flying high and Samsung doesn’t look like to leave their Galaxy Series handset. The good thing is that Android is an open source operating system widely adopted and surpassed its counterpart recently. So it’s more dependent on the preferences of the users whether they want to go with open source of stick with quality product of Apple.
Samsung Galaxy S III comes with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich pre installed on the phone itself and users would be happy to see over a new look on Galaxy phone.
Battery
iPhone 4S comes with lithium ion which provides 8 hours of talk time on 3G and 14 hours on 2G usage with standby time of up to 200 hours. Samsung Galaxy S III comes with larger 2100 mAh battery which can relatively provider better battery backup and battery life.
Conclusion
The iPhone 4S is very stable, reliable and quality device from Apple. Samsung Galaxy S III is the best phone in Android and iPhone 4S is the best phone presently on iOS. Going through the conclusion one would love Apple iPhone 4S for its ascetic design and Galaxy S III for other specifications.

Flood in Pokhara ( with Video update)

Update: Nepal Army along with other authorities organized a press meet for this. They announced the origin of the flood to be the outburst of a temporary lake formed by the blockage of Seti river by Snow near the origin. Only two out of 13 dead body found, were identified. One student from Pokhara Technical college, and a local hotel owner were found dead. No further details are given about the no of missing people, and physical destruction by the flood. Other details are yet to come. But they announced there is no probability of further flood in Seti river as Nepal Army found no any  blockage in the river through helicopter survey.

Update: Avenues TV reports the total no of dead people found to be thirteen. Reports are only known from Khaarapani, the nearest site from Pokhara, but the actual scene from villages above could only be known after Helicopters to the site reports from there. Also the source of the flood is yet to be technically confirmed whether it's Avalanche or GLOF (Glacial Lake Outburst Flood). Now Seti river has abated but it's still bigger than the normal flow. Before around 20 times, variation in the level of Seti river has been observed today.

Avalanche in Annapurna Mountain Range triggers massive flood in Seti River in Pokhara on Saturday Morning. The flood swept away people along with their houses, farms, and cattle. Two picnic bus carrying students have also been swept away at Khaarapani. Fifty Persons have gone missing and nine person are found to be dead till now. Three person have been rescued but people believe the death total could rise.

Local people, Nepal Army, and Nepal Police have begun rescuing and searching for the missing ones through helicopters. Authorities reached there after direction from Prime Minister to do every measure for the rescue. Denizens in Pokhara are fearful of the flood to enter inside the city.
