Ashad 15 is called the Ropayi day (Crop Planting day), the day that is being celebrated in a year to mark the end of Crop Planting with the wish for high production. On the day, people go to the farm field to play with mud, where ladies plant the Rice plant and men plough the field to make it smooth for planting. Various functions are being organized all over the country to mark the day, where people sing folk songs, throw mud to each other in the field. Many Tourists also participate in the local celebrations and take part in various competition like Folk song competitions, planting rice competitions and several other entertaining games. Ashad 15 is also named as the Dai Chuira Day when people eat bitten rice with curd. So the people in the festival are also served with the Dahi Chuira (Bitten Rice with Curd).
Nepal Government also announced the day as National Paddy Day, to launch several programs to encourage farmers to grow more and celebrate the Crop Planting festival.

With two fabulous goals from Mario Balotelli and some superb saves from Buffon, Italy defeats Germany (2-1) in the second semifinal and will be playing against Spain in the Euro cup 2012 Ultimate final game. Earlier Spain defeated Portugal in a penalty shoot out against Portugal to be in the final. Spain are not only the defending champion, and people's strong favorite but also the team that is in the verge of making a record with hat trick in consecutive titles so they will not leave any stone unturned to beat Italy in the finals. So Spain made it to the final in the penalty shoot out against Portugal. Though the game was very intense and lot of chances for the both teams,120 minutes of game was not enough to have at least one goal, as defense was stronger than the attack for both the team. Bruno Alve's miss for Portugal was the crucial one that made Spain go through before that, Iniesta, Pepe, Nani, Ramos kicked the ball to the net in the shoot-out and ultimately Fabregas had the ultimate winning shot. All left out in the shoot out was Captian himself ...May be Christiano Ronaldo reserved himself to do the winning shot that never game. A fake news item about actor Amitabh Bachchan's death in a car accident has been doing the rounds since Tuesday. A blog post said, “Amitabh Bachan died in a single vehicle crash on Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics responding to the vehicle accident"
The blogpost went on to give details about the superstar's funeral also.
Memorial services for Amitabh Bachan have not yet been announced. The service is expected to be a closed casket funeral due to the severe head trauma. Additional details and information will be forthcoming as they become available.”

Asif Shah and Aidray ( from The Unity) improvises the song Chanchal Chanchal, an OST from the movie Apabad. The melodies song was originally sang by Sugam Pokharel and Samjhana Humagain, lyrics and music composed by Ujjwal Meghi Gurung. As a matter of fact, all the songs in the movie are written and arranged by Ujjwal Meghi. Asif Shah does the melodies singing part whereas Aidray performs solid with his fluent rap but Sudin Pokharel a.k.a DA69 is all left out in this song as he is in Australia for Kantipur Sports Reporting (as mentioned in his personal blog). The song tempo is lil rapid as compared to the original but it goes well with the flow and beats.
NEA( Nepal Electricity Authority) has decreased the load shedding hours by two hours in a week. This is second reduction of the city supply cut in a week span after rise of water level in reservoirs due to monsoon. So the total power outage period per week will be now 35 hours.

LTE (Long Term Evolution) is a 3.9 G Mobile technology, specifically for high speed data services. It's maximum speed for download is up to 300 Mbps but it depends on how much frequency is being used by the carrier. So the user gets more than 5 Mbps from a single tower in an area. To use the LTE data service, you need to either have a USB LTE dongle or LTE wireless modem or a smartphone with LTE enabled on it. When you buy a new LTE device, make sure you bring the equipment that runs in the same frequency that your operator has it otherwise it's of no use. For example: If Nepal Telecom has a LTE service in 700 MHz FDD, make sure the device works on that frequency to use LTE data service in Nepal, for that you have to see the device operability printed either in the catalog or you have to google it beforehand.

Nepal Telecom and Huawei have signed a contract for 4.8 Million GSM lines including 3G+ (LTE) data services which is worth about 7 billion Nepali Rupees. Nepal Telecom's MD Amar Nath Singh and Huawei's Commercial Manager Liyan Chi Chang have inked the deal. It's been more than six months when Nepal Telecom had floated a global tender for 10 Million GSM lines which was separated in 4.8 M and 5.2 M lines, of which ZTE and Huawei were selected for further discussions. NT had months of discussion with the vendor after passing hurdles from Finance Committee in CA, and CIAA (Commission for the Inviestigation of Abuse of Authority).
With this, Nepal Telecom will be swapping the existing ZTE system in Central Development Region (Kathmandu) and Western Development Region(WDR) with the Huawei System, having more no of lines and additional high speed internet services of 3G and 3G+ LTE Service (45 % 2G GSM lines and 55% 3G and 3G+ LTE lines). Though various operators in foreign countries call LTE service as 4G just for marketing purpose, we will have to wait and see what will they call for the fast LTE service in Nepal. Nepal Telecom is confident of the new project to cater the cost effective and quality service demand in the market.
NT is also going to sign a contract with ZTE for the 5.2 Million lines, the leftover of 10 M Project. "Soon we are going to discuss with ZTE to do a pact for the remaining 5.2 million lines" says Nepal Telecom's MD Amar Nath Singh.

Tom hanks image from Forrest Gump and Castaway used to come to my mind when I imagined a person with full beard. But after the Apabad trailer and the promotional picture from the movie, Raj Ballav Koirala image replaces Tom Hanks in my head. Though I have some pictures of my own with full beard, it never comes in the thought process. Here I am not talking beard and men in this post, so lets get straight to the movie Apabad.
After the completion of second stage matches, two simultaneous matches of each group will be exciting and more drama to see ahead in Euro 2012. Ireland and Sweden are only the two teams that are already knocked out from the tournament, and all others have lil' or high hopes to get through the next stage. Previously Group A games was not in the light for many of the media but now it seems the fight for the survival goes fierce in the group, leaving more fun in the people from the game. For me, Russia and Czech republic will go through the next round, with former USSR topping the group. With that, major disappointment will be among polish, being unsuccessful in their own home ground.

For me the song is awesome with simple composition, blowy lyrics and strong vocal. I am sure this song is gonna be an icon in the history of Nepali music.
Apple gave users a preview of the upcoming version of their mobile operating system iOS 6 during the opening of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco, June 11 (June 12, Nepali time). Apple says they added up to 200 new features to iOS 6, but here are the ones were are most excited about.

She hanged herself to death in her rented room at Jhoonche, New Road, Kathmandu. Her dead body is being taken to Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu for post-mortem. She acted in several music videos of Prakash Ojha and was also one of the actor in Prakash Ojha's Titi Kareli. Her Latest Movie is Jungle Queen to be releasing this June 22.

Speaking in a protest assembly in Khulla manch, Kamal Thapa, President of Ra.Pra.Pa Nepal has lambasted four parties to be responsible for current crisis and the dissolution of Constituent Assembly on Jestha 14. He asserted that the four party agreement is not acceptable in any cost to his party and Nepali people will protest against such acts. He also expressed his party is not afraid of any elections but demanded a neutral government or government headed by Chief Justice (Supreme Court) Khilraj Regmi to hold the elections. He was also confident of the reinstatement of Monarchy either through election or People's movement. He opined the outcome of first CA meeting that ousted then King Gyanendra to be invalid as the CA is now dissolved. He declared the current constitutional state of Nepal being just the date before the Constitutional Assembly Elections when King was having a ceremonial state in the constitution, so he told then King Gyanendra to wait for sometime after which millions of people will bring him from Nagarjun to Narayanhiti. He also demanded the reinstatement of 2047 Constitution with Hindu Kingdom to save Nepal from current crisis.
A mild Earthquake was felt in Pokhara today at 01:40 pm. Different Tv channels are airing the breaking news of the Earthquake of 4.89 Rector scale in Pokhara and the neighboring place. The duration of the quake is felt for around 10 seconds. Most of the Pokhareli people are out of their home and pretty much worried if the quake returns back. 1. Go for new CA election.
2. Go for parliamentary elections and make it work as a CA for some time.
3. Make a Constitutional Committee to make a new Constitution and go for Referendum.
4. Revive old Constituent Assembly for sometime to make new Constitution within that time.
5. Go for Referendum in major Issues and Promulgate New constitution.

Huawei has announced the successful commercial launch of the Automatic Neighbour Relation (ANR) feature on LTE networks in Cologne, Germany. This release marks the first time that an ANR feature has been successfully launched on a commercial network in the world.
Deployed by Huawei, Cologne's LTE network was officially launched for commercial use in April, 2011. In October, 2011, Huawei began verifying ANR functions and features for use on the LTE network, including neighbour detection, automatic adding, and neighbour deletion. Now that the ANR feature has been in commercial operation for three months, it allows for the automatic management and optimisation of all neighbour relations without human intervention. It is also able to reach a handover success rate of 99 per cent when network performance is stable.
Within traditional GSM and UMTS networks, neighbour relations are managed and optimized manually, resulting in huge operation and maintenance costs.
