NTA reports 14.498m mobile users, 850,607 fixed connections at mid-April
National telecoms regulator the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) has published its latest market observatory report for the month of Chaitra, 2068 (15 March – 14 April, 2012) showing that the total number of mobile lines in the country stood at 14.498 million at the end of the period, up from 14.215 million at mid-March. Data published in the NTA’s Management Information System report shows that at that date overall teledensity (fixed and mobile) stood at 61.42% (up from 60.34% a month earlier and 56.46% at mid-December 2011), with mobile accounting for the lion’s share – or 54.46% – of lines.

He told reporters of the talks between four parties has failed due to adamant position of Congress and UML and Constituent assembly to be dissolved, plunging country into a vacuum. No Constitution In Jestha 14: Bhim Rawal.
CPN UML Leader Bhim Rawal declared of No Constitution to be promulgated before Midnight Jestha 14. Talking to Rabindra Mishra for BBC Nepali service, he was negative of any agreement between parties for the divulging issue of federalism type, naming and demarcation. Also the lack of time to go for voting for contentious issues, now hinders the constitution promulgation within the deadline through voting in CA . He was one of the leaders present in the four party meetings held today. Though there is immense pressure from 'real' people and Supreme Court Stay Order after Government tabled a bill to extend CA tenure by 3 months, political parties lack the will power and decision making power to solve the issue before the deadline. And for the question of what will be the appropriate constitutional solution for the crisis and the fate of President, Government after Jestha 14, I have found Political Analysts and lawyers divided over the issue. So it is hard to speculate the development that will unfold after Jestha 14. But no matter what real' people don't want this current CA to continue with the current equation in CA, opposite school of thoughts in parties making the agreement almost impossible. As majority parties are going against people's thoughts and feelings, we need to think of showing people's verdict either by asking for referendum in contentious issues, or doing people's movement.

Fight breaks out in Ukraine's parliament
A violent scuffle erupted in Ukraine's parliament Thursday evening over a bill that would allow the use of the Russian language in courts, hospitals and other institutions in the Russian-speaking regions of the country.
The fight broke out between members of the pro-Western opposition who want to take Ukraine out of Russia's shadow and lawmakers from President Viktor Yanukovych's party, which bases its support in Ukraine's Russian-speaking east.
At least one legislator, opposition lawmaker Mykola Petruk, suffered an apparent blow to the head and was taken to the hospital with blood streaming down his face.
Lawmakers have frequently scuffled in the Ukrainian parliament. A fierce fight in December 2010, which sent at least six lawmakers to the hospital, started when members of Yanukovych's party threw chairs and punched opposition lawmakers who had been blocking legislative work all day.
During a fight in April 2010, the parliament speaker hid behind an umbrella as opposition lawmakers threw eggs and smoke bombs to protest a naval pact with Russia.

Nicole Kidman plays an "oversexed Barbie doll" in the hard-hitting murder drama "The Paperboy", premiering at the Cannes film festival on Thursday and notable for arresting scenes of sex, and violence. In the adaptation of a Pete Dexter novel, the Australian Oscar winner plays trailer-trash bombshell Charlotte Bless, who is obsessed with a man on death row with whom she exchanges letters. She is drawn into a newspaper investigation into the prisoner, who may have been wrongfully convicted, triggering a frantic series of sexual encounters, humorous exchanges and a dangerous game of violence and death in the Florida swamps.
Two scenes in particular had critics and reporters chattering in Cannes after a press screening.
In one Bless urinates on Zac Efron's character Jack after he is badly stung by jellyfish in the sea, while the second is a bizarre and unflinching portrayal of a sex scene set in a prison visiting room that involves no physical contact at all.
Kidman, in a figure-hugging vermilion dress for her Cannes photo call, was asked at a press conference whether she found shooting the scenes embarrassing:
"Strangely no, because I think I had to step into a place to play the character where I didn't step out of it and look at myself, so it wasn't hard to shoot.
"This is what (director) Lee (Daniels) brought out of me and so it didn't feel uncomfortable at the time," Kidman added.
"I have not seen the movie, so I may be uncomfortable watching the movie, but that's my job. It's my job to give over to something, not to censor it, not to put my own judgments in terms of how I feel as Nicole playing the character."

Facebook today released a photo-sharing app of its own, Facebook Camera, one and half months later the announcement of Instagram purchase.Currently available only for iOS devices, Facebook Camera allows users to shoot, edit, filter, and share photos to Facebook without ever leaving the app.Features include posting multiple photos at a time, adding a caption, cropping, and applying one of 14 vintage-style filters.
More than just a photo-publishing app, however, Facebook Camera lets you browse photos your friends are sharing to Facebook, and allows you to comment and like images within the stream. Deleting photos or friends' comments doesn't seem to be an option, though.
The app is now available in the Apple App Store, and according to the Verge, Facebook is considering the app for other platforms.
So why the camera app?
It's one of three apps Facebook is trying to get the word out about this week. Some have speculated their new plan is to saturate the App market to show what they can still do. The camera app though is actually what has most of us scratching our heads. Facebook just started the process to buy Instagram for 1 Billion dollars. For anyone who isn't familiar with that service, it's a social media service and an app just for sharing photos. It's become very popular in the last two years and it caught Mark Zuckerberg's attention. Let's take a quick look at Instagram. Once you take a picture, you can edit the picture a bit, add a comment and post it. Pretty simple.
Now let's look at the Facebook Camera app. It's being called a clone of the Instagram app. A lot of people wondered if this would happen. It functions almost identical to the Instagram app. Same look, feel, options.
So let's take a picture... And now we can choose a filter if we like... There are many options. Once you've done that you can tag someone and then upload it.
The App also allows you to to enjoy other peoples photos better in this app. So it is nice if you do a lot of photo sharing on Facebook. You can enjoy others photos better and upload multiple photos at the same time which you can't do on the regular Facebook app.
So how can folks get this app?

"American Idol" finale: Phillip Phillips wins title over Jessica Sanchez
Phillip Phillips, a bluesy Georgia guitar man, was crowned the new "American Idol" on Wednesday after defeating teenager Jessica Sanchez in record viewer voting. He was the fifth male "Idol" winner in a row.
Phillips, 21, a pawn shop worker from Leesburg, Ga., looked stunned when host Ryan Seacrest announced his name, then wordlessly accepted a hug from Sanchez and congratulations from his fellow finalists.
He dissolved into tears as he sang "Home," the song that may be his first single.
Phillips retained his humble, self-effacing demeanor to the end, and beyond.
"I have no idea why I won, man," he said in his backstage dressing room. "I guess some people liked the music that I was doing. I'm just lucky. ... I was just doing my thing each week."
He received the winning share of the record-high 132 million votes cast after Tuesday's final showdown with high school student Sanchez, 16, of Chula Vista, Calif. The vote count was not announced, typical for the contest.
His victory extended the "American Idol" winning streak for men to five consecutive seasons. The last female to win, and the last non-white, was Jordin Sparks in 2007.
Phillips has more in common with the last four winners than gender. Like them, he is a young Caucasian guitar player, also known to "Idol" watchers as WGWGs — white guys with guitars.
Last year's winner was Scotty McCreery, preceded by Lee DeWyze, Kris Allen and David Cook.
Sanchez, who is of Filipino and Latino heritage, took a measured view of the outcome, one that she said had solely to do with music.
"I don't blame it on anything," she said backstage. "Phillip has his fans, and I have mine. We're totally two different people. Our genres are completely different.
"He's more like the indie, alternative rock kinda guy, and I'm more urban R&B pop. ... It's just the number of our fans," she said, adding that she expected to be the runner-up.
"In the moment, I told him, 'You're gonna win this.' I was smiling at him the whole time. I was ready to just give him a big hug, and that's what I did when they announced it."
Sparks, 22, was among the guest stars who helped fill out the two-hour finale show, among them Rihanna, Neil Diamond, Reba McEntire, Chaka Khan and John Fogarty. "American Idol" judges Steven Tyler, with his band Aerosmith, and Jennifer Lopez also performed, but it was Sanchez and Jennifer Holliday who stood out with a powerhouse duet on "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going."
Besides music, there was a marriage proposal for the season 11 finale: Former contestants Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo got engaged on stage.
Young, 31, a season five finalist, told Seacrest that he and DeGarmo, 24, had just moved in together. Then Young got down on one knee and popped the question to her.
"I love you to death. You're my best friend," Young said in his proposal, which included a jarring credit for the jeweler who made the engagement ring he was offering (which, given Fox's heavy soft drink and car sponsor product placement, wasn't so off-key).
DeGarmo, a runner-up in season three, tearfully accepted, her head bobbing up and down.
But the point of the finale, saved for the final minutes and the highest possible ratings, was anointing the newest Idol and winner of a record contract.
During the three-song showdown Tuesday between Phillips and Sanchez, the show's judges praised his performance across the board. Sanchez was faulted for a lackluster rendition of her third song, "Change Nothing."
Although some critics dismissed Phillips as a Dave Matthews clone, viewers embraced him for his humility, his on-camera mugging and his memorable acoustic covers of songs like Usher's "U Got It Bad." In weekly tallies, Phillips never fell among the low vote-getters.
On Tuesday, he earned consistently high marks from the show's judges, while Sanchez faltered on "Change Nothing," the song that could serve as her first release.
The teenager agreed with panelists Randy Jackson, Lopez and Tyler, saying she should have gone more "urban" with her song choice.
Phillips had better luck with the slow-tempo, acoustic tune "Home," which the judges said recalled artists like Fleet Foxes, Paul Simon and Mumford and Sons. At one point during Phillips' final performance, the pawn shop worker was accompanied by a marching band.
It was a hit with the panel. Jackson, beaming, exclaimed: "I love the song. I love you. I love the production. I love the marching band. Everything about that was perfect."
Last year's contest between McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina drew more than 122 million votes, the record that was broken Wednesday.

My closeness with Kathmandu has never been questioned by myself, like the way I feel today. I had never imagined such day will come in Kathmandu when a small troop of protestors chants slogans against another groups/community in the name of demanding their own states. They even dare to chant to wipe out other community from Kathmandu. With such feelings, I remember all my Newar friends, their culture, Newari functions/parties where I always enjoy being with them and want to know more of the culture, I had never found them to be disrespectful to other communities and their culture. Then who is implanting such ethnic stuffs in people and what is their hidden motives?
Even in social media, I have seen some friends of my friends status and tweets, instigating their own community people to be ready to be killed and kill other communities if their demands are not fulfilled. Also, I have heard of Bahun, Chhetri's young bloods to gather at Baneshwor to protest against the atrocities and words in so called NEFIN protest.
I wonder what will happen if these two protestors meet somewhere. I only see blood and the disruption of social cohesion that no one had ever imagined to happen. Is this what these bandh organizers NEFIN, So called 'Civil Society' leaders, and we people want in your country? Finger also points to senior leaders of political parties esp.(Prachanda, PM, Gacchadhar), why your government is not taking care of on-going anarchy in the street, slogans to disrupt social integrity and security of media personnel not guaranteed.
This is all conspiracy of handful so-called leaders to achieve momentary benefits and it won't be sustainable.
But no matter Constitution is promulgated within 5 days time or not and with or w/o ethnicity base federalism, I am not positive of no additional such protest to happen with the current scenario, as there is no any significant address from political parties, Civil society leaders and other Educated people. I have not seen any good remarks from elites that can make significant change in people's mind and maintain harmony. I see them divided by their castes, ethnicity and their own benefits. 'My Ktm' is dieing, can anyone save it from the inevitable chaos!!!

Nikon D800 Review.
When the Nikon D800 was announced, the specification that got everyone's attention was - and to a large degree still is - the massive pixel count of its 36.3MP CMOS sensor. When a moderately-sized full-frame DSLR body aspires to go toe-to-toe with medium format cameras and backs at a fraction of their price, other attributes can seem secondary. But don't be misled. Coming as a successor to the now 3 1/2 year old D700, Nikon has updated much more than just the resolution. The D800 has a significantly more advanced feature set than its predecessor, particularly in terms of its video capabilities that make it, on paper at least, a viable and tempting option for professionals.
At the heart of the D800 is a brand new Nikon-developed sensor that boasts 36.8 million pixels in total, with a maximum effective output of 36.3MP. Its ISO span is 100-6400 natively, expandable to a range of 50 ('Lo1') to 25,600 ('Hi2') equivalent. Nikon's highest resolution DSLR to date, the D800 more than doubles the pixel count of the flagship D4. The D800 is potentially very attractive to studio and landscape professionals, but should pique the interest of a great many enthusiast Nikon users too - many of whom may have been 'stuck' at 12MP for years, with a D300, D300s or D700.
Of course, the D800 faces a competitive field that has made significant gains as well. Arch-rival Canon has recently updated its best-selling full-frame model to the 22.3MP EOS 5D Mark III. That the D800 has to prove itself a compelling upgrade for current Nikon shooters is a given. Yet a glance at the specifications indicates that Nikon has clearly been paying attention to the success of the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, and its video performance in particular. The hope among the Nikon faithful is that the D800 matches or exceeds the impressive high ISO performance of recent Nikon DSLRs while providing the resolution benefits of a much higher pixel count.
To Nikon's credit, the D800 does not, at first glance appear to be a camera intended to protect sales of its big brother, the D4. Truth be told, apart from their sensors, the D800 and D4 share many identical specifications. Although the D800 offers a much slower maximum frame rate at full resolution (4fps, compared to 11fps in the D4) and lacks some of the pro-oriented 'frills' like built-in Ethernet connectivity, it shares the same revamped 51-point AF system which is effective down to -2EV, the same processing engine and almost exactly the same highly advanced video mode.
Whereas the D4 is intended as a specialist tool for professionals that need to capture images quickly in all types of weather and light conditions, the D800 has been designed to appeal to a much broader user base. For most of us, D4-only features such as ultra-high ISO shooting, very fast frame rates, QXD card compatibility, 2000+ image battery life and built-in Ethernet, are simply not that high on the list of must-haves. The same goes for many pros who earn their livings with their camera.
Wedding, event and studio photographers, for example are likely to be far more concerned with resolution at low ISO sensitivities than shooting at 11 fps at ISO 204,000. To them, a camera with the D800's feature set, priced at less than half the cost of a D4 is an exciting prospect indeed.
And let's not forget videographers. The D4 is Nikon's most advanced video-enabled DSLR. And the D800 offers almost exactly the same video specification in a smaller, lighter, and significantly less expensive body, making it potentially much more attractive as either a primary or 'B' video camera on a low-budget shoot.

Ang Kaji Sherpa makes Controversial remarks abt Nepali Media (with Video).
Deadline for New Constitution to be promulgated is within a week but there is still no standing consensus among key parties as Maoists backed from the 11 state agreement to demarcate the federal state lines from federal Commission. At first Madhesi Parties within the government had reservation regarding the agreement but later open fired at the agreement and threatened to pull out. While Madhesi Parties, outside the government and Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) lambasted three parties for making such incomplete agreement and took it as a ploy to make incomplete Constitution. NEFIN also had reservation of putting Bramhan,Chhetri in the Indigenous list as Khas Arya, for which they had agreed with the government to revoke the indefinite General Strike. Though Another Madhesi Alliance (Broader Madhesi Front) Led by Upendra Mahato (also Opposition Party leader) lets the government to table and pass the bill for shortening the process of Constitution promulgation, he backs up the three days General Strike(Nepal Bandh) organized by NEFIN. Demanding ethnicity based federalism and the implementation of State Restructuring Committee, the protestors from different ethnic and indigenous groups poured into the street and brought the nation to a standstill closing transportation and markets. From the early Morning, they started vandalizing vehicles not only from General public but also of various media houses, ambulance and tourist bus too and even manhandled various Journalists from Media houses. Protestors blamed the media houses of having bias against them for not giving news about their bandh and that's the reason behind their attack. The media houses were in target in these huge numbers just like they had planned for this before as told by the Journalists under attack. And also this is a record in the history of Nepal that these huge number of media vehicles vandalized and media persons manhandled.

Zuckerberg and 27-year-old Priscilla Chan tied the knot at a small ceremony at his Palo Alto, Calif., home, capping a busy week for the couple.Zuckerberg took his company public in one of the most anticipated stock offerings in Wall Street history Friday. And Chan graduated from medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, on Monday, the same day Zuckerberg turned 28.
The couple met at Harvard and have been together for more than nine years.

Bono rejects Wealthiest Star.
U2 frontman Bono has laughed off claims he will become a billionaire on the back of the Facebook flotation.
The rock star's investment group Elevation put money into the social networking site, taking 2.3% of the company in late 2009.
But while the flotation means Elevation is worth way in excess of £1 billion, Bono is joined by nine other directors who stand to profit.
And reacting to the launch of Facebook on the stock market, he said: "Contrary to reports, I'm not a billionaire or going to be richer than any Beatle - and not just in the sense of money, by the way, the Beatles are untouchable - those billionaire reports are a joke."
There had been suggestions that the canny investment could make his wealth outstrip that of Sir Paul McCartney, said to be valued at £665 million.
Bono told MSNBC's Andrew Mitchell in the US: "In Elevation, we invest other people's money - endowments, pension funds. We do get paid of course. But you know, I felt rich when I was 20 years old and my wife was paying my bills.

World Telecommunication and Information Society Day celebrated.
Ministry of Information and Communication (MOIC), Nepal Telecom Authority(NTA), SECEN (Society of Electronics and communication Engineers Nepal),And Nepal Telecom (NT) jointly organized an event to celebrate the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD-2012) with the theme of "Women and girls in ICT". World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, celebrated each year on 17 May, marks the anniversary of the signature of the first International Telegraph Convention in 1865 which led to the creation of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The event chaired by Mr. Avanindra Kumar Shrestha, Secratary, MOIC discussed ways to improve ICT access and knowledge to Women and girls, so as to achieve progress towards having Gender Inequality and take them as equals. Program had some papers presented by Mr. Lochan Lal Amatya, President, SECEN, Ms. Muna Thapa, Ms. Namita Pradhan and Mr. Bijay Kumar Roy. Babita Basnet from Sancharika Samuha explained the need of policies for empowerement and involvement of Women to reach decision making level in ICT. Sumnima Tuladhar urged the need of reducing ICT Digital Divide between men and women, and also discussed the vulnerability to women and girls due to ICT. Deputy Managing Director, Nepal Telecom Buddhi Prasad Accharya illustrated Nepal Telecom's reservation for women in entry and further growth in Nepal Telecom and also explained up-coming technology/services to increase the access of ICT. Anand Raj Khanal, Director, NTA had a philosophical view of women behind women empowerement and the self interest/enthusiasm being a tool to empower Women and Girls. Lastly Session chair, Mr. Avanindra Kumar Shrestha, Secretary, MOIC opined the works done to improve ICT access not enough to achieve much progress in Women and Girls and the need of proper policies be formulated for Women empowerment.
ITU (International telecommunication Union) expects the theme for the World Telecommunication and Society day 2012 will influence people's work not only on the Day but throughout the year and in the future as well. Such program in the theme helps to use ICTs to provide new digital opportunities to women and girls in every corner of the world.

Nepal Bandh Culture.
Bandh (General Strike) is the ultimate thing to do if you are up against for something, be it demanding federal state for your ethnicity/region, demanding punishment for culprits, or protesting against government action/inaction. But here in our Country Nepal, it is very much used and done action to fulfill you and group of other you. Some groups may have gone in series of events to reach General strike at last but some take it as the very first start to go against something. No matter what bandh (Strike) kills!! It kills country economy, It kills people hope for better, It even kills some people's regular meal and may directly kill individuals without timely reach of hospital. Economy and development is very important for a country but life and living is utmost important and is the right of each individual to earn it. Such bandh cripples life, distorts people mind and even have much negative impacts on future generation.
Its a good thing that most of Nepalese media are not covering the news of bandh before the strike, and it helps to limit the effect. But news of bandh spreads like wildfire from mouth to mouth and Social media helps Nowadays People also search for if there is bandh in the coming, for that a popular website www.nepalbandh.com has been catering the need for quite a long time. I had even seen people asking if there is bandh today in Facebook status with "K aja banda cha?". This proves Nepalese people are very much wary of these bandh's and people state of mind is too fragile. And the question arises, how we can get more productivity from that fragile state of mind!
There are many ways to express dis-satisfaction to the authorities and ask for proper measure apart from bandh (strikes). And authorities must also address those issues in time to make them less agitating and not to opt for Strike and alike. Let's not promote bandh and let's not make it our culture.
Saayad Nepali Movie Review
It's very hard to tell the genre of the movie Saayad. Lately with the trend of Nepali movie changing and new generation expecting more from Nepali cinema, Saayad stands in the line between the regular movies and the new type of cinema that people praise more of creativity after "Loot". I had expected the movie to be more comic than I had found in the movie. No-one expect Wilson Bikram Rai stands out in the comic role and when the comedy is for unethical stuffs, people control their laughs, that what happened at least to me and the people around in the QFX central. Saayad is a mix of thoughts in teenagers and senior people, with blood shed violence, drug dose scenes,and college fun. Movie shows the impact of drug addiction in society, family and the person themselves. Drug makes them careless about their studies, makes them involve in fight, and even dare to kill their own dear ones. Though Saayad has the theme of "what If" some event had not happened, the message to the people is not that clear on what the point they are trying to make. Also I noted the reason behind the drug intake for Yoden (Samyam Puri) is not that significant in putting out the message for the people.The movie tickles you at times with the teary emotions, funny dialogues by "Korean Pharsi", and the insane character of Samyam Puri. He plays perfect for the phobia act in the lead role, and may remove the tag of being son of director Narayan Puri but others may disagree of that being too early to predict with just a single character. Suraj Subba Nalbo has experimented his screenplay with his new directorial touch, but sometimes the old traditions comes into play out of nowhere. Besides some side roles acting defects, good acting by lead roles, fast story flow, freshness in new character played by new actors and the Shadows title song makes the movie refreshing, critical acclaim and entertaining. Though entertaining and grasp people in the whole flow, the movies leaves questions in the people why this, why that, and what if that could have happened.

Agreement on 11 states.
Four Parties have decided to go for 11 federal province in New constitution along with mixed form of government. But they left the naming and demarcation of territory in states to be decided later. Naming will be done by the province themselves while demarcation will be left to a federal commission. With this agreement, UML has decided to join the current government as agreed before in five point deal to make the first National Consensus government led by Baburam Bhattarai.
Also parties have decided to go for mixed form of governance with power shared between directly elected President and PM from Parliament. But the power division among PM and President is to decided through discussion in dispute resolution sub-committee of Constitutional Committee.
However, Madhesi Morcha has expressed reservation in the agreement but made it clear that it won't obstruct the constitutional drafting process.
With this agreement, the probability of new constitution to be drafted by Jestha 14 is getting more likely.

Update: Four Party Meeting has ended inconclusively yet another time. Senior Leader Madhav Kumar Nepal told media person of the parties near to deal about state restructuring and form of government, and meeting will conclude tomorrow making the agreement.
Four Party Meeting has just started at Prachanda Niwas, Lazimpat.It is told that 12 leaders, three from each are there to make a decision on the disputed issue of State Restructuring. Finance Minister Barshaman Pun said the agreement between the four parties on the disputed issue is most likely to happen tonight. Sources clues the parties may decide to leave the territory of the states to be defined later by State bordering Commission. It is known that Prachanda, PM Baburam Bhattarai, Narayan Kaji Shrestha from Maoists; Sushil Koirala, Ram Chandra Poudel and Krishna Sitaula from Congress; Jhalanath Khanal, Madhav Kumar Nepal and Bamdev Gautam from UML; and Bijay Kumar Gacchedhar, Mahantha Thakur and Mahendra Yadav from Madhesi Morcha are in the meeting. I had already written twice for the agreement to have happened for the 11 states between the parties. Lets wait and see how this meeting comes up for the agreement and what will it be. Will it be able to cater the demands raised by all agitating ethnic and geographic groups??

Fifteen passengers died on Monday when a plane carrying Indian pilgrims crashed near a treacherous high-altitude airport in northern Nepal, while six made a miraculous escape, police said.The Agni Air plane plunged into a hill close to Jomsom near the Annapurna mountain range, police spokesman Binod Singh.

"The plane was about to land at Jomsom airport. It hit a muddy slope and the plane is now buried in the side of the hill," he said.
"Fifteen people have been killed. Thirteen of them were Indian tourists and the other two were Nepali pilots.
The passengers had chartered the flight to take them from the central tourist hub of Pokhara to Muktinath, a sacred place for Hindus and Buddhists at the foot of the Thorong La Himalayan mountain pass, said Rajendra Singh Bhandari, Nepal police regional spokesman.
"A Nepal army barracks was near the accident site which made the rescue of survivors easier," he added.
The crash was the second deadly air accident for Agni Air in less than two years.In August 2010 one of the private carrier's Everest-bound planes crashed in bad weather near Kathmandu, killing all 14 people on board, including four Americans, a Japanese and a British national.
